I am delighted to be launching a multi-faceted installation at HART Shoreditch as part of London Design Festival from the 13th - 21st September!
This exhibition draws inspiration from the fairly recently discovered remains of the Curtain Theatre in the local area - a stage on which Shakespeare himself is said to have performed, as well as hosting some of his very earliest plays including Romeo and Juliet.
If you’d like to hear more please do join me for a walk through of the exhibition on Saturday the 13th of September at 12pm where I’ll explain the small touches and interactive elements of the show.Tickets for this are HERE. They are donation-based as we are raising money for brilliant charity Ministry of Stories (co-founded by Nick Hornby). Their work enables 6-18 year olds to find their voice and develop their narrative, so please give generously if you can!
There’s also a panel talk including the Director of Ministry of Stories, and a launch party on Tuesday the 16th, both of which will feature the incredible film made by Esme Harvey-Otway for my poem ‘thinking makes it so’. Here are a few little teaser screenshots for now…
I will also be hosting a night of poetry and music on the temporary stage I designed for HART Shoreditch’s welcoming public ground floor space. There will be a host of fantastic london poets and musicians, and some open mic spots for performers too! Get your tickets here and tell your friends!
In fact the whole week is packed with packed with events, including a sound bath from the brilliant Fire + Alchemy, inspired by Twelfth Night, and a day of a capella improv with a workshop and a performance - click the image below to be taken to the full listings page on the HART website.
Can’t wait to share this work with you!
